Clubs & Student Organizations

As advised by Ms. Bryant and Ms. Leonard in Room 11, the Women's Empowerment Club is an open forum to discuss issues pertaining to gender, expression, relationships, and societal/stereotype roles. Also, students learn about historical and current women leaders/changemakers. 

"Another topic our club addresses is issues affecting women of color because they aren't always brought to public attention. This club is a great experience and a safe place. Most importantly in helping us find self-love," -said student, Arlene H. 

Chess Club meets in Room 13 every Thursday, at lunch. Mr. McCullough oversees this club. It is an intellectually stimulating adventure with informal tournament games and opportunities to sharpen your chess skills. It is a meeting you simply can’t match. 

Welcome to the Adventure's Guild, where imagination takes flight, and every roll of the dice brings a new story to life! Our mission is to foster a creative, inclusive, and collaborative environment for students to explore the fantastical worlds of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). Whether you are a seasoned dungeon master or a curious newcomer, the Adventure's Guild is your gateway to epic adventures, unforgettable characters, and lifelong friendships. Meetings occur in Room 17, under Mr. Grace's mentorship. 

As our third year organizing cultural celebrations for Latine & Hispanic Heritage Month, Native American Heritage Month, Black History Month, and Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Ethnic Studies Club, along with mentor Ms. Villalobos in Room 3, planned these amazing celebrations. Our cultural celebrations reflect the ethnic groups represented in the Ethnic Studies curriculum and our diverse population. The purpose of these unique celebrations is to uplift the stories, contributions, cultures, etc. of these groups and enhance the year-long curriculum of Ethnic Studies. Lastly, to educate our community on the wealth of diversity on our campus! 

The Retro Reboot Gamers Club is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the golden age of video gaming. Our mission is to create a vibrant community where students can explore, experience, and appreciate the original gaming consoles and classic games that laid the foundation for today’s digital entertainment. We aim to foster a love for retro gaming through hands-on play, educational activities, and social events, ensuring that the legacy of these pioneering games and systems continues to inspire future generations. Join the nostalgia in Room 17!
