Graduation Requirements

This introductory course trains students for entry-level positions as graphic designers or graphic artists. Students will learn to plan, analyze, and create visual solutions to communication problems. The curriculum covers effective use of color, typography, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing promotional displays, packaging, marketing brochures, and distinctive logos for products.

Building upon the foundational skills acquired in Graphic Design 1, this course delves deeper into advanced design techniques and concepts. Students will engage in more complex projects, further developing their proficiency in industry-standard software and design principles. The course emphasizes creative problem-solving, client communication, and portfolio development, preparing students for professional opportunities or further education in the field. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Career Technical Education Certificate of Competency and receive a chord at graduation.
